Who does the noticeboard serve:

I can do the work

List your trade, skill or service, whether you want a job or paying customers.

I need work done

Something that needs doing, or a position to fill. Browse the directory for someone who suits your needs. & contact them directly.


Before you contract someone

  • Ask for references, and follow them up
  • Agree price & scope in writing before work starts
  • Meet somewhere public the first time, if a meet is necessary.
  • Don't pay large amounts up front
  • Where work requires a licence or registration, ask to see it

Services we do NOT list

  • Loans, micro-lending, or anything advancing money
  • MLM and network marketing, or anything with a joining fee
  • Investment or financial products
  • Anything charging the person seeking work
  • We don't publish rates. Prices are agreed directly between you and the person you contact.

Disclaimer & terms

St Joseph's Workshop is a noticeboard only. It is a place where people may list skills/ services in an attempt to help people find work.

We don't check anyone. No verification of qualifications, experience, criminal record, registration or insurance. Being listed means one thing: that person filled in a form.

We're are not an agency. Not a recruiter, not a party to whatever you arrange. Any contact, payment or work is at your own risk. Ask for references. Agree the price in writing. Don't pay large amounts up front. Beware of scams.

Nothing unlawful, and nothing involving children. We don't publish listings for work with children -childminding, tutoring, lifts, coaching - because we have no way to vet anyone, and this board must never be a way to reach a child. If you need that kind of help, ask your parish office, where people can be properly checked.

The parishes and missions don't endorse anyone here and aren't responsible for listings or anything arising from them.

Your details are published with your consent and are public, so submit only what you're happy to have online. Email us to remove your listing – no reason needed. We don't sell or share your information.

Who runs this?

St Joseph's Workshop is built & maintained voluntarily as a service to our communities. It is not a business, it does not advertise, and nobody earns from it. There is no charge to be listed on this platform, and there never will be.
